La Playa Mexican Grille in Port Aransas

Delicious fajitas and margaritas! All the kids loved it and cleaned their plates. Group of 7 was seated quickly and received excellent service. One of our family favorites.

The food is amazing but don't go if you expect to socially distance. Tables are not 6 ft apart, and waiting customers sat pretty much next to me while I was dining outside.

Great Food whoever y'alls cook is yall need to hold on to them I've never had taco meat taste as good as yours does and I live in H-Town where there's lots of Mexican restaurants. Keep up the good work. C yall next time.

Food was fantastic, service was poor to say the least. Our waitress on the evening of 6/25/20 was poorly attentive, so beware. She was so exhausted to help us.. Didn't know about any specials until I heard the waitress at a table near us as we were finishing our meal. Very disappointed😞.

This restaurant was suggested by some locals to us and it did not disappoint! It was on every level amazing, food and service was top notch. They open at 5 so get there early to get your name on the list if you don't want to wait. The salsa and chips were fabulous. We got the queso trio which was amazing, white queso with taco meat and pico--🤪. My husband got the tuna special and I got the Island Pepper so delicious. We finished the dinner with the flan, which our server suggested and I think it was the best flan I have ever had. I really think it was the best flan I have ever had. I was so full but happy I made room for that! Seriously if you have to wait it's worth it!!

It’s a shame this place hasn’t figured out their take out procedures especially during a pandemic. Yes, we’ve enjoyed the food here over the years but when we opted to stay in and enjoy eating in home La Playa failed. We called four different times over an hour and a half. No answer EVERY SINGLE time. “This VM box is full!” Management needs to do better right now. 2 Stars because the food is great but the store needs to decide if they really want to call themselves “Takeout”!

Excellent high quality food.

Best food we’ve had in Port A by far! My husband, who never finishes a whole plate of food at dinner, ate every last bite of his Snapper with crab and avocado topping and talked about how he wanted another plate because it was so good. I had the beef and chicken fajitas for one. They bring enough meat to feed two people easily and I couldn’t believe how tender and tasty the beef was. The staff was friendly and prompt with their service. I definitely recommend making this one of your dinner stops. We’ll most certainly be back.

Love the atmosphere and service here! Always good food. Had the special- pepper corn grilled Mahi, couldn't even finish because the portions are so big. Have a sangrita chaser w tequila while your there! We go every year for our huge family vaca and will always go back!

Busy, fresh and delicious. Oodles of tequila to chose from. Great daily fish special, crab enchiladas and fajitas!

Margaritas were on point. Staff is awesome, very friendy. Atmosphere was spectacular loved the live karaoke entertainment. Definitely rec a visit!

Food was great!! The service was outstanding!! They were slammed but they made a big effort to get us in quickly :)

We came across this restaurant because it was the only one open at 9:30 pm. Not really wanting Mexican food because we had our stomachs set on seafood. Food is so good and serves seafood dishes as well. I will definitely be back!

Best food Ever!! Had crab enchiladas. They were divine. Will definitely be back despite the 1 1/2 hour wait.

Awesome meal here tonight! The scallops appetizer were amazing with a chipotle sauce. We then had the pan seared tuna with crab meat on top & the shrimp, crab, & crawfish enchiladas that were amazing! And our waitress Kim was very friendly & attentive to all our needs. Best meal & service we had while in Port A!

Even with Social Distancing on a holiday weekend it was another great experience. Waiter was great with some good suggestions. Margaritas were excellent, table side guacamole & crab enchiladas were fantastic. We will be back!
